If you are not crafty like me then you can rest assured that this does not require a ton of those skills. All you need is to be able to cut and a few supplies. I seriously love back to school crafts because they always let me pull out my pretty paper.

Instructions:

Step (1)

Select colored craft papers for the project and trace the patterns from the template on the craft papers. Cut out the traced patterns nicely.

Step (2)

Take the big pattern (this will be the pencil shaped notebook cover) and fold the pattern along the middle lines shown in the template. The thin area between the folds is the spine of the notebook and on both sides of the spine are the front and back side of the notebook.

Step (3)

Decide the front side of the notebook and gather the other cut out items. Attach the items (eraser, eraser border, wooden tip, and tip of the pencil) on the front side of the cover to create the pencil pattern.

Step (4)

Done creating the pencil pattern? Allow the glue to dry and meanwhile prepare the pages; shown in the next step).

Step (5)

Trace the shape of the page from the template and cut out as many pages as you need. I traced the page shape from the template and formed 4 groups of papers; each group containing 5 cut outs. Fold each group of papers into half. Stitch or staple them along the middle line (half line) to secure the papers. Each group of papers are called text blocks.

Step (6)

Gather all the text-block and level their closed ends together.

Step (7)

Unfold the cover and apply glue along the middle crease (spine) of it. Place the text-blocks’ closed end along the glued part.

Step (8)

Close the notebook by folding the cover and allow the glue to dry completely.

Happy crafting!
