Hain Celestial’s Sensible Portion Puffs Perfect for Kids #SensiblePortionsPuffs

If you’re a mom on the go like me, you are always looking for a delicious, healthy snack for times when you can’t run by the house for a meal, and popping by a fast-food establishment is simply out of the question. So when Hain Celestial asked me to try their non-GMO Sensible Portion Puffs, I was eager to give them a shot. You can check them out on Facebook to see more information. Hain Celestial uses organic corn to make their puffs, and they’re made with no fillers, and no artificial colors or preservatives. They’re also gluten-free, which is perfect for folks with gluten sensitivities! I immediately told my friend Sam about them because her son’s all have a gluten sensitivity and I know she is always on the lookout for great snacks for her kids.

 

The Sensible Portion Puffs come in four flavors: Cheddar, Sour Cream & Onion, Veggie, and Tomato Basil. The kids and I sat down to try them as an after-school snack. I love how portable they are! Its so simple to throw a bag in my car and I’m good to go! I really enjoyed the Sour Cream and Onion. I thought the flavor was really spot-on and delicious. It is kind of weird at first. You pop this little puff in your mouth expecting it to taste ‘puffy’ or ‘plastic-y” but its actually full of flavor. My kids had a preference for the Cheddar. Those were our favorites for sure. The Tomato Basil and Veggie flavors were good, too. We saved most of them for Moriah’s 2nd birthday party because I love to share great new things with my friends and family.

 

We all thought they’d make great family movie night snacks instead of microwave popcorn, and we plan on trying that for sure next time we sit down to a movie together! I also think they’d be great for summer trips and travel- easy, better-for-you snacks that we all love! My kids ate all the puffs we had left over from the party as afterschool/daycare snacks and they are begging me to get them some more.
