This is the cutest fall recipe I have seen lately. I love owls and I know they are probably the most adorable creatures of the night in my opinion. I think this Fall Owl Cupcakes Recipe is super adorable and super easy to make. And the ingredients are simple. I had most of the stuff in my house especially the buttercream frosting. You can click the link for a super easy buttercream frosting recipe.  And if you are not in the mood for cute this fall season, you can always check out this Spooky Buttercream Peanut Butter Cupcake Recipe.

Directions:

  1. Mix your cake mix as directed or us your favorite homemade cake recipe. Preheat oven to 350 degrees (F). Line your cupcake tin with cupcakes holders and set aside.
  1. Spoon the cake batter into the cupcake liners (filling about ½ way each) and bake for about 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely, and then frost.
  1. Generously frost each cupcake, then, apply the Oreo cookies (you are only using the side with the creme filling) and place on the Reese’s pieces for the eyes and nose!  To make pointy ears I used a sharp knife to cut one side of an Oreo into small triangles.  You can also simply use a butter knife and perk up your frosting to make small ears.
