A Night Out with Ryans

picture found on google.com It was extremely busy the night we went and I was not able to stand far enough back to get a good picture without getting in traffic.

I love eating out with my family.  The number one reason I love eating out? So I don’t have to cook.  It is hard to find a place that everyone likes though.  We used to have a great hibachi buffet nearby that had a little of everything. My boys are so picky. I remember the days of them being babies and eating whatever I put in their mouths. They used to love to go out to dinner and would coo at everything and demolish their baby food and whatever bites I gave them of my adult food.  Then they got bigger and got their own food and still ate everything on their plate and most of mine.  All of my boys (husband included) are trying to make sure I don’t get too overweight. I am sure of it.  Sadly they grow out of that stage and into the I don’t like anything you like stage. Unless its on mommy’s plate of course.

Every since my two year old Elijah was hospitalized though, he has been way more picky than normal. I was worried about taking him out recently since he barely eats anymore but I had some free product coupons I had been given for my husband and I to go to Ryan’s. He ended up eating a ton of mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, and rolls. He liked it and so did my older son.

According to their website, there is always great freshly prepared comfort foods like mac n cheese, hand-breaded fried chicken, fried fish, baked chicken, and baked fish. They also have quite a few side dishes to choose from including mashed potaoes, rice & gravy, fresh veggies, french fries, cornbread dressing, and two home-style soup favorites.  So if you love southern dishes and a family friendly atmosphere, you should check them out.  Family Nights are every Thursday from 5 to 8 pm.  Kids 11 and younger eat for just $0.99 so I got off easy taking my boys.

Ryan’s, HomeTown Buffet, Old Country Buffet, Country Buffet, Fire Mountain, and Granny’s are located nationwide across the United States.
