Traveling with our Monkey Mat

It’s summertime, which means more time spent playing outside, and sitting in dirt, and just plain having fun.  Sometimes, you wish you could find a clean place to park you and your children that isn’t full of dirt, or other things that you find outside that you don’t want to have staining your clothes.

The Monkey Mat is a clean surface you can take everywhere!  I got to review the blue Monkey Mat, they also come in other colors as well.  They come in pink, orange, dark khaki, and blue. You can choose which one you want when you order and they are amazingly affordable as well. For just $39.99, you have a great addition to any outdoor outing.  I have already used ours tons of times when we have visited friends at the park and when we go to my grandmother’s who has dogs.

The Monkey Mat was created by a desperate need to not have to keep sanitizer close at hand every second.  Sometimes a blanket is too hot, or there’s just not enough room to put a huge blanket down, or to have to plan to bring something with you when you’re on the go.  Thus the Monkey Mat was born. It’s a lightweight material so its easy to brush off.

The Monkey Mat is a portable, compact and stylish mat that also has an attached pouch to put your Monkey Mat in.  It clips, zips, and is ready to go whenever you are, which is important when you have children to get in the car, or out the door.  Just grab it, and be on your way.  It’s great to know that you can sit your kids down, without worrying about them finding dirty things to stick in their mouths, or worrying about what is getting on their toys. I have mine clipped to the side of the diaper bag at all times because you never know when you are going to need it.  I fully intend to use it when we go on our family vacation this year because who knows what is on the hotel room floors!

You can use the Monkey Mat indoors, too, for your infants.  Place it on the floor, and don’t worry about any little bits that your vacuum may have missed.  It’s great for outdoor concerts, the park, or even the beach, which makes it a great purchase for your summer toys this year!  Moriah loves being on the Monkey Mat.  She does tummy time on there a few times a day now that she is a little older.  And trust me, no matter how much I vacuum, my floor is still not the best place for an infant. My two year old makes sure of that by dragging cookies and crackers all over the house.  He also loves the Monkey Mat because I let him get out his colors and lay on it to make his ‘creations’.

  1. This is a really cool idea! I know what you mean about vacuuming – we could do it constantly and it would still be crumby on the floor! Thanks for sharing this cool product with us 🙂
