The VW Bug has to be one of the most iconic images in America- with its association with the open road, summers at the beach, and the classic ’60’s, it’s something everyone loves. Nostalgia and vintage vibes are very firmly in, including vintage vehicles with such a great vibe.

The Monster factory www.themonsterfactoryusa.com has devised a way to make every trip for lunch a road trip, with their hip, officially-licensed VW lunch bag. I was excited to get the orange edition, though they also have it in red, blue, and a special pink. The first thing I noticed was how durable it feels- it’s made of washable Oxford Canvas with a sturdy, colorfast, and washable design. It’s insulated to help keep cold things cold, and hot things hot so that the lunch you peaked is just the way you meant it to be. Nothing worse than lukewarm soup- or a lukewarm carrots and hummus!

It’s a great size, too. Plenty of space to put enough food to satisfy the hungriest eater! It retails at just $24 so it’s really affordable. I’ve been able to pack big lunches for my oldest and they stay nice and cool until lunchtime.

The Monster Factory also has a coordinating pencil case that’s perfect for your VW fan. Made of the same washable and sturdy Oxford Canvas, it’s the perfect size to keep your pens and pencils organized along with the important little odds and ends that accrue over the course of a school day. It’s exactly the kind of thing I’d geek out over! My kids get to use the lunchbox, however, and it works great, and looks fantastic!
