I am terribly overweight. Yes I can totally say that with a straight face. I have been morbidly obese according to the BMI scales for a long time and it got so much worse after my cruise. I gained 10lbs in just a few weeks.  I gave up on my fitness and weightloss and I paid the price.  So I told myself that nothing was going to get in the way of me losing weight this summer and having the best time possible with my kids.  I told myself at the beginning of the summer that is really easy to do simultaneously as long as I spent each adventure prepared.  I pack our bags the night before any fun because going to the splash pad without swim diapers or going to the park without mom having feminine care products is not fun.  Its actually the opposite of fun.

My kids are always on the move so I need to be as well.  I am such a stroller mom. I have spent months trying to get myself in the type of shape that I can keep up with three busy children. I have my bad times but I still show up for Boy Scouts, for soccer lessons, for basketball tryouts, for school parties, and so on. I believe in a ‘never say never’ attitude and I want to pass that on to my kids. I also believe in being prepared for anything.  I used to have a purse of 1000 wonders or well I had two (I still have both but I have retired it since the artist died last year). I haven’t let scoliosis, ADHD, or depression stop me from running after my kids so I wont let a little thing like my monthly woes stop me either.  Every mom should know that your period can happen anytime.  Two weeks early, at the basketball game, WHAM! Instant embarrassed mom.  That is why I always carry an extra pad, pantyliner, and tampon in all of my extra bags and in my glove box.

It is good to have a great brand like Stayfree Ultra Thin Regular pads to help me stay on the move with my kids. I know that I am protected from little accidents and I am comfortable doing my 5 mile walks with my local mommies while trying to catch a three year old who wont sit still.  Stayfree Overnight is for when I finally get to rest.  Hahaha. I even move in my sleep so I am glad to have a brand of pads that stays with me as I toss and turn.  I am so glad that I keep both in the house because I had an influx of teenage girls recently who are staying with me for the summer and they certainly helped me use my stock up.

You can earn a $5 Walmart eGift card when you buy any three Stayfree, Carefree or o.b. products. I know there has got to be some great coupons out there as well so now is a great time to stock up! Walmart is a great place to get your feminine care items because they have some awesome deals. I already did my shopping for my house and I think we are good for the summer again.  Its time for me to go prepare all my bags again and restock my car.  I can move with my kids this summer without worry of embarrassment for not being prepared.  And yes I did complete that cartwheel!

  1. Stay moving in the summer? OH my gosh, that’s when I want to hibernate because it’s so hot outside. Get me out when it’s cold and I’m a happy camper. I’ve been walking with the kids more since we moved to Florida. Believe it or not, it’s less humid here than it was in North Carolina, so it’s much more enjoyable outside. Or maybe that’s the gulf breeze talking. I’m thankful for Stayfree to keep me comfortable and protected. They really came in handy when we moved last month! #client

  2. I’m very impressed you can do five mile walks. I agree with the Boy Scouts: Be Prepared. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Thanks for sharing this story. Sure wish I could do five mile walks. We are slowly working up to that. At 2 miles right now. I love stay free products!!!

  4. I always kept a “stash” in my glove compartment and in my office, and, at the very least, a pantiliner in my purse. It didn’t help that my period was never regular.
