We got to party recently with Halloween Flipz at our house. I have to admit I nearly forgot about it. I was standing around assuming it was the 15th and it was really the 19th so I had to last minute invite people and get the stuff for hamburgers, chicken nuggets, and mini corndogs. Those are my go to items for parties and I knew the kids would love it. I found the Flipz in the candy aisle at the grocery store. If you have never seen Flipz pretzels before, they are covered pretzels that come in flavors like milk chocolate, white fudge, chocolate mint, dark chocolate, and birthday cake. Very delicious and hard to put down.

I was sent some cute Halloween decorations to help my party along so I was set there. I knew exactly what I wanted to do to make my Flipz scary. I wanted to make them into spider cookies. I underestimated how excited a 2 year old and a 4 year old would be to help me do that. For the tarantuala cookie, I used a chocolate marshmellow for the body and then broke off legs from the milk chocolate Flipz. The cookies are shortbread with cookie icing on them.

I thought that I would do some of those and then make some creepy eyes out of the white fudge Flipz. I used blue icing and candy pearls for most of them. For the one with a bloody mouth I just rubbed some red food coloring on there. They do look like creepy ghosts to me. And my kids ate every one that my guests didnt eat so there is a win.

Cupcakes? I had to make a monster coming out of of the ‘grave’. I wanted him to have mismatched pieces and look scary.

I made everyone a plate of each kind of snack and we got down to eating. I think Halloween is going to be even more fun this year now that I know I can make monster cupcakes and spider cookies with a bag of Flipz. Super simple and they are inexpensive. You can check the official Flipz website. You can also check them out on their social by following them on Instagram and Facebook and you can see more awesome Halloween inspired creations!
