Ever feel like you would do better on your diet if someone was keeping score? I do. I remember when I went to the gym, I always worked out harder when I went with my friends. Its not like I was trying to do better than them, its more that I wanted them to be proud of me and follow by example so that we could all be healthy and cute.  I know if we had a gym at work, I would totally work harder because I want people at work to think well of me. What if there was a way to do that in the corporate world?

Hosted by Cafe Well, there is now a corporate wellness program called Race to the Moon that aims to get members more fit and active by walking or running through offering free wireless pedometers which tracks their steps and rewards them for milestones and total steps. In just under a month, the program has participants who have walked over 50 MILLION steps, and average 2.5 million steps a day. That is super amazing to me! Wow. My work has a wellness program but I doubt I take 2000 steps a day and I am sure most of the people in my building are the same way. Caféwell was created to provide a safe, secure and anonymous health care destination that connects you with other people who share your health care interests and needs. Wanna know the secret to success? They merge social media with fitness! You can join groups, chat, have discussions about all kinds of things! It also has tons of articles with tips to help you succeed. If you’re a member of HealthAmerica, you may be able to join The Race to the Moon program!

If I was going to create a challenge, I would do a walking challenge for the people at work and see who has the most at the end of a week. That would give everyone time to get up and get moving and give the procrastinators time to realize the week is almost up so they have to go run a 5k to catch up. It would be so funny.

What would you create a challenge of? Would it be a healthy eating challenge or a fitness challenge? Leave a comment and let me know!
