I remember being a poor college student all too well.  It was not a great time but also the best time because I was on my own.  On my own with my own bills.  This was ages ago when everyone did not have a cell phone so I didn’t get one until I was 18 or 19 years old. I barely afforded my bill every month because of texting.  I had the act of saying everything in one text down to an art.  I had to learn to budget and I failed miserably for the first couple of years.

When I heard about this awesome student mobile plan  I went to my local Best Buy Mobile Specialty Store to check it out.  I talked with the assistant manager who was so super helpful! He told me more details about this awesome deal. I love how I can go to one place to get all my mobile needs and it is a great place for anyone to get their first mobile phone. The store was super organized with the best cool new gadgets and I got to see the displays of all the phones I was considering getting for son to go with the student deal.

Here are some details I learned about the Sprint Unlimited,  My Way Student Promotion:

It is available to all students from kindergarten on up.

You do not need your proof on enrollment to sign up. You have to submit proof within 14 days.

Students have from now until January 4th to sign up to get the one year of no contract

There is a $36 activation fee per line

For every additional new phone line of service (referral lines) activated on Unlimited, My Way or My All-in on the account with the student line at Best Buy before 1/4/2014, the account gets an additional 12 months of free talk, text and 1GB data for the student lines to share.

You can add unlimited data for just $10/mo.

  1. This sounds like a great deal for students! We are thinking about getting my daughter a phone next year, and I will have to check out this plan prior to purchasing.

  2. Wow, I had no idea this deal was good for any age student. I am passing this info along to a couple of friends who want to get their kids phones for the holidays.

  3. I love knowing this option is out there. My son is still just a bit too young for a cell phone yet, but this is exactly the kind of plan I’ll be interested in.

  4. Thank you for sharing! My sister is thinking of getting a cellphone for my nephew and now I can pass this info to her.
