Adult Get Togethers: A Pajama Party Planner for the Grownup Gang

Diverse People Friends Hanging Out Drinking Concept

You’re never too old for a pajama party. It’s a great way to de-stress and spend time with friends and family. But, maybe you haven’t done something like this since you were a teenager. Here’s how to get back into the swing of it.

Get Cute Sleeping Bags and Jammies

It all starts with the right atmosphere. Pick out some cute sleeping bags and jammies for yourself and encourage your friends to do the same. The sleepyheads.com online store has a lot of options so you should have any serious problems with this.

If your friends don’t want to get that involved with the sleepover, you can skip the P.J. theme, but it’s not as fun. Try to get them to think about it as a party investment. If this event goes well, there will be more – many more – sleepovers.

Get Ready For a Makeover

A makeover is a great way to spice up the night. Now, you have a few options when it comes to makeover games. You can break out the Opi nail polish and do each others’ nails. Or, you can set up a mini fashion show where you each try to make an outfit entirely out of tinfoil and model it for your friends.

You could also do a thrift store fashion show. Basically, the idea with this is to go to the local Goodwill and find the best outfit you can find – be it wacky, dated, or legitimately a good find, and model it. Don’t tell each other about what you bought before the sleepover. Make it a surprise. It’s cheap, innocent, fun.

Start Drinking

As the night draws on, you might need something to spice things up. Yes, that’s code for “break out the alcohol.” Make yourself some margaritas, mojitos, or kick it old-school and do jello shots.

Once you’re a little buzzed, it’s time for the games. Do the classics: “Truth or Dare” and “The Alphabet Game.” They’re not as fun sober.

Do A Photo Shoot

Nothing goes together like booze and a camera. For some people, it takes a few drinks before they’ll agree to something as crazy as a photo shoot. With your thrift store finds on, or maybe even in your P.J.s, set up a photo shoot area in the corner of the room with a few different lighting options.

Let everyone have a turn taking photos. When you’re done, you can put on a little slideshow or just look over them and have a good laugh.

Making It More “Adult”

This could go very wrong if things get out of hand. But, it could also go very right, depending on how you’re looking at it. If you live in singlesville, you could set up a very adult-themed party by inviting some dudes to crash your party early on or late at night.

Hire a dancer or two, and cash in your $20 bill for some singles. By the end of the night, you’ll have a lot of amusing stories to tell at your next sleepover.
