It is Spring time and you know what that means. It means that kids are getting ready to change wardrobes and spend more time outside. Our Spring Break is the same week as Easter so I know my kids will be begging for their trip to grandmother’s house especially since we will already be there that Sunday. So I needed to get my kids some new clothes so they can play outside all week with their Memaw and Mawmaw. I stay with them though because I need my grandmother time too. I needed to get a packing list together to make sure I had outfits for both of them. Luckily I recently partnered with OshKosh to talk about Spring Travel so I knew exactly where I was shopping at. My kids love the OshKosh store at the open mall near our house. The doorbusters are amazing and my kids always pick out several of the character tees as soon as walk in. They really know what they are doing with kids fashion. There is a great coupon code at the bottom of this post to make it even more affordable and a $50 OshKosh Giftcard giveaway.

This time around they had their polos on sale for $8! I bought several for my son in various Spring colors. He loves shirts with collars and buttons. He thinks it makes him look grown up like his dad. And these polos are durable, machine washable so they fit great in suitcases without wrinkling too much. The Boys woven bottoms were only $10. My son Elijah picked out those palm tree shorts seen above. You can find an OshKosh store near you by using their store locator. They always have their doorbusters right up front.

It is hard to dress my daughter because she is tall and broad. She is only 2 but she wears a 3T or 4T in most things. That is why I like how you can mix and match with shirts and shorts at OshKosh. I can buy a cute skirt and then send several shirts and she will be set for two days at her grandmother’s.

The outfits are great for Easter, for playing outside, for church. They can be for anything. They look dressy but they are perfect for play clothes. Exactly the kind of clothes needed for any kind of vacation. Or even a staycation which we prefer around our house. We found their little sandal shoes for $5! Tons of selection in boys and girls.

The little dresses are so cute on my daughter. She twirls around in them and shows them off to everyone. And my grandmother is one of those that thinks girls should wear dresses. I personally dress her in her brother’s hand me downs often because I don’t think clothes have a gender. I do like her being happy though and she loves dresses. They both think their Easter clothes are awesome.

Breathable sundresses are perfect for Spring weather and great for travel especially if you are still potty training. My daughter can easily go to the potty and not have to worry about shorts or clunky shoes with her dresses and flip flops on.

Packing tips for staying at grandmother’s house:

  1. Make sure everyone has a stuffed animal. Preferably the same exact one if your kids are close in age
  2. You know grandma is going to let them play in the water so send water shorts, sandals, and swim suits
  3. Make sure you send several extra shirts because playing outside can get DIRTY.
  4. If you send Sunday clothes roll them up to keep them from getting wrinkly or buy cotton.
  5. If you send one suitcase, make sure both kids get to grab the handle and roll it at the same time

Have you done your Spring shopping yet? Where are you headed to on Spring Break? Make sure you check out OshKosh! OshKosh’s spring fashion is something you need to check out for spring travel! The sales are amazing! The coupon code (you can print from that link) and the code you can use for online orders is: Spring16

  5. One thing I would get for my daughter would be the DRAWSTRING JEGGINGS – SCENIC BLUE from Oshkosh. She would also love the MESH-BACK ACTIVE TANKS too.

  6. I would get some short sleeve tees for my grandson–we have discovered that his growth over the winter has made all of his too short!

  7. I would buy three dresses, floral tiered ruffle dress, floral print dress, fancy free dress. My little one lives in dresses.
