This girl is tired. I am super tired. I do not want to exercise anymore. I do not want to walk anymore. Please put me out of my misery and make me 10lbs lighter with no work. Anyone? No takers? It was a long shot anyway. I work out every day if I can and I am happy to have a phone that can keep up with me.  The Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport is beyond pretty. It is also really handy for getting outside and on my feet. Or playing on my phone all day.  That works. It has Air View™  which lets you hover your finger over photos, files, links and text for an instant preview. How cool is that? And the kicker for my husband is the fact that he can control the TV with his phone through the Samsung Smart Remote function.

I found out that Samsung Telecommunications America decided to team up with Under Armour and MapMyFitness to offer mobile solutions for today’s active lifestyles with the Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport.  I want a phone that gets me back outside to my nightly jogs at the part. I want a phone that keeps up with my on my many adventures with my children. This phone does. It includes some awesome apps like the ones listed below:

  • MapMyFitness uses GPS to track all fitness activities, and records workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned and route traveled on an interactive map
  • Activity Zone offers the ability to open active lifestyle features, including a Barometer, Compass, Flashlight and Stopwatch, from a single screen
  • S Health™1, an integrated mobile health platform to access health info, map out your workouts and make healthier eating choices, even measure your heart rate when touching the back of Galaxy S 5 Sport

My husband uses the S Health on his S5. It makes me mad that he gets 10-15 thousand steps a day just doing both his jobs. He says I should be getting more than him but my workouts are different and don’t show up as much.

Now that I have my Samsung S5 Sport, I can try to beat my husband.  I wonder how many steps I can get if I start using the treadmill in the basement?  I do high intensity workouts in the living room and he thinks because he walks more he wins.  I will show him.  I will have proof from my S Health app.  I can even monitor my heart rate with my new phone.  Does your phone do that?

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport serves as the launch pad for Sprint Fit Live, a complete mobile health and fitness package, which gives users access to their favorite fitness applications. I am totally on board with this because I think everyone just needs a little nudge to get up and work especially one that can help you tailor workouts and music. It can connect to your Spotify to make the most epic workout playlists. A great phone that has access to great fitness apps that also has tons of other functions like a compass, flashlight, barometer, pedometer, and a flashlight? Sounds like the perfect phone for a Scout mom. I may even have to fight my son for this phone. It is also IP67 water and dust resistant as well as having a textured body for increased grip and three hard keys for easier navigation when active.  It is the best phone to go jogging with. I don’t worry about dripping sweat all over and I can hold it in my hand easier.

Obviously I need a phone that can handle my children. They steal it from me all the time.  My Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport helps me make healthier eating choices. I feel guilty when I don’t.  Don’t tell it about the cookies and cream shake I had a few minutes ago though.  I would be sad.  I love how awesome the picture quality is on the Dual Cameras. One is a 16-megapixel rear-facing Phase Detection Auto Focus camera with Zero Shutter Lag, flash and video capture. The front camera is a 2-megapixel with full HD recording at 30fps. My son takes a ton of selfies so a good front camera is very important. It also has Studio which is a complete photo and video editing suite.  On my phone! An editing suite on my phone.  I am betting that I have just scratched the surface of how awesome this phone is.

  1. I promise not to tell about the shake if you promise not to tell about the Pumpkin Spice Latte I had this morning. I love the idea of having a phone that will do it all. I don’t want to carry around my phone, a pedometer, a heart rate monitor, etc. I need to check out the Galaxy S 5 Sport.

  2. I love the fact that its easy to take with you, apps are at your finger tips, and love the camera features 🙂 thanks for share

  3. What great fitness apps and features. Some of us really need a bit of a push. Anything to get us up and moving. Neat!
