I was recently given the opportunity to try the new Caress Forever Collection– they are two new body-washes that have a special long-release fragrance that is designed to keep you smelling great all day long. The folks at Caress have developed what they’re calling Fragrance Touch Technology- tiny Fragrance Release Pearls that release bursts of perfume with every touch of your skin. I received both the Adore Forever and the Love Forever scents to sample and see how they worked.
The both of the body washes performed wonderfully in the shower- very sudsy, cleaning without being overly drying- my skin can be sensitive to really drying agents, so this was important to me. Being a redhead I have to be really selective on what I use on skin and hair. It didn’t take a lot to get a satisfying suds-up going on, either. They both smelled great- my favorite was the Love Forever, because it has a citrus-Sandalwood scent, and I’m a total sucker for both those scents. That’s what is cool about these bodywashes though because that is just the base not. It also has a top note of Mandarin Orange and Peach, with a Heart Note of Scarlet Red Rose, Peony and Freesia. I did also enjoy the Adore Forever, but it has a Top Note of Raspberry and Cassis, a Heart Note of Angel Face Rose and Muguet, and a Base Note with Amber, Honey and Vanilla. While I enjoy that sort of thing, I find my personal body chemistry doesn’t work as well with lighter floral scents. I do like that they’ve designed scents that are kind of opposite each other on the ‘smell spectrum’. A spicier, more musk scent and a more floral vanilla scent will give people a chance to gravitate to what works best for them. I think it comes from all the years of wearing my husbands deodorant but I really prefer spicier scents. I feel like a hypocrite saying that because I really love vanilla scents on candles.

Caress worked with a master perfumer by the name of Loc Dong to develop these scents, along with 25 other scientists across 4 continents to develop the Fragrance Touch Technology. They wanted to make sure the scent of both washes was more of a boutique scent and that they lasted longer than just the length of a shower, and I really think they succeeded! The scent is much longer-lasting than typical use-and-forget shower washes. It is nice to be able to just use the shower wash and skip using a perfume, which can be a little heavy. I very rarely use perfume because of sinuses and my youngest son having an issue with scents that are just ‘too much’. This was just right though. Its nice to still be able to smell it long into the day. I was really skeptical about the up to 12 hours lasting scent part but they proved me wrong.
