NYR Organics Giveaway

nyrorganics-1

I have been plagued with bad skin my entire adult life. I have tried every over-the-counter remedy and skin care regimen out there and nothing has ever made a difference. I’ve changed my diet, taken supplements, nothing helps. This has been a source of real distress to me- it’s ridiculous to be in your thirties and dealing with something like this.

A little over a year ago, a good friend of mine offered to let me sample a couple of items from a skin care line she was investigating. As a licensed cosmetologist, she’d gotten tired of using cosmetics with questionable ingredients and lousy business practices and went looking for something better, and found NYR. I’d never heard of them- they’re new to the US but apparently are very popular in England. She offered them to me for free and they smelled sooooo amazing that I jumped at the chance! I got a foaming bath gel and a lotion scented with ginger and vanilla that I promptly became obsessed with. On a whim, I started using the foaming bath gel as a face wash in the shower every morning, and I’d moisturize with the yummy yummy lotion. And to my utter amazement, my skin cleared up. It took less than two weeks. Using FOAMING BATH GEL! And that was the beginning of my love affair with NYR Organics.

Like I mentioned, NYR Organics is everywhere in the UK. Their blue bottles have become ubiquitous with organic, environmentally conscious skincare and NYR is bringing their sustainable products to America, which in my opinion is the best thing since sliced bread. My skin is so grateful! And I love their commitment to environmentally responsible practices which include using fair-trade, organic ingredients; seeking the highest possible European organic certification; and partnering with Mom’s Across America as a non-GMO company. NYR is also committed to making products without animal testing and aside from honey, they use no animal products what-so-ever.

Since those early days with my foaming bath gel and my yummy yummy Ginger Vanilla lotion, I’ve sampled many of their products and loved them all, but I finally settled on their Frankincense skin care line. Their Frankincense Refining Cleanser, Toner, and Frankincense Oil combined with the Hydrating Cream has been the best skin care regimen I’ve ever found. I know I am using products that are safe for my skin, free of harmful ingredients, and that come from a company with such high standards! And because they are so concentrated, a tiny amount goes a long way- they end up costing the same per-use as most of the over the counter junk I’ve gotten from the drug-store or Target! For me, switching to NYR has been a no-brainer!

I’m so crazy about their products that I would love nothing more than to share them with you! You can see the entire line here:

I’m so glad I took the chance- I’ve been acne free for over a year and won’t ever use anything else!

My lovely friend Kate Hogeland has since joined NYR Organics as a skin care consultant and has been awesome enough to provide me with some items to share-

  1. The wild rose beauty balm is AMAZING, I just sampled some and it’s now on my Christmas shopping list.

Kate taught me a lot about toxics in cosmetics and skincare products. Holy cow! I really believe this stuff contributes to obesity and cancer in ways we still do not fully understand.
