My family have always been big football people. Especially NCAA Football. More especially Alabama. I remember being super tiny like 6 months old and my Aunt Louise buying me an Auburn dress (obviously I do not remember this but my family talks about it and I have pictures). My father got so mad. She bought me a cute Alabama jacket to go with it but he still ‘misplaced’ it the first time I wore it home from my grandmother’s house. Alabama is a football state. I have rarely ever met someone who didnt follow college football and didnt have a team choice between Auburn and Alabama. It is one of the biggest rivalries in this state and has ruined many a friendship. Almost all of my family are Alabama fans but of course my sister had to grow up and be like our Aunt Louise and Aunt Barbara. My dad almost died the first time she told him she hated Bama. No matter the situation, you can always count on my dad having an awesome Alabama shirt or hat on. Picture on the left where I am the cutest little redhead in green is from 1987, now that is a throw back.
We count down the days to football season and always do a big party every Saturday for the games. I make texas cheese dip and other appetizers and we graze all day.
