Naked Lady Party with Bush’s #HummusMadeEasy

When I was invited to a Naked Lady party I was a bit concerned. I had never heard of it before and while I knew there wouldn’t actually be any naked ladies, I had no idea what would go on. I was not able to attend for the last three years. It was always something that came up. So this year my friend Kate announced it very early on and asked me to help her organize. Then that same week I was also asked to work with Bush’s Hummus Made Easy. PERFECT! I had offered to create several dishes for the event since it was the perfect opportunity to try my skills out on people I do not know. And the Hummus Made Easy packets make it so simple to create dishes and even just hummus for the family.

In case you have never had a Naked Lady party, it goes like this. Everyone goes through their closets leading up to the event and fills up bags of clothes and accessories they do not fit in or want anymore. I brought four garbage bags full of clothes from my closet since I have finally accepted that I will never be a size 10 again. At the event most ladies will walk around in robes or easy to get out of clothes and there should be changing areas for the more shy participants. There will be several piles of clothes ranging in sizes in each room. One room for shirts, one room for pants, one room for accessories, etc. So we had a ton to choose from. Then when everyone is done trying on clothes and taking what they want from each pile, the organizer will take the excess clothes to a women’s charity. Please see the bottom of this post for information where you can donate clothes for women in need. We had over 38 bags of clothes that we donated this year.

And the second best thing about these parties is that we have FOOD! So many yummy snacks. I decided to bring a platter of the super easy to make different type of Hummus Made Easy by Bush’s. They are packets that can be found in the grocery store near the Bush’s beans and chickpeas. This hummus, found at Wal-Mart next to the Bush’s Beans, is made with simple ingredients and absolutely no artificial preservatives. I was sent some to try and my family ate the Roasted Red Pepper immediately. It is so simple to just mix with Bush’s Garbanzo Beans to make spicy hummus!

Right now there are three types of Bush’s Hummus Made Easy packets which are Roasted Red Pepper, Southwest Black Bean, and Classic. I made some of each for the party and added some pita chips and pita bread. I also created some Spicy Hummus Muffins which were a huge hit! You can find the whole recipe HERE! Or you can pin it for later.

A lot of the ladies at the party decided to try dipping the Spicy Hummus Muffins in the Southwest Black Bean hummus. I had a great time at the party and I am so happy that I was able to easily make these dishes for the ladies at our party and spend more time getting my stuff together.

  1. What a great party idea to help get rid of clothes that are not needed. I like giving to Women’s charity in our town so women in need can get their clothes for free!

  2. I don’t have any clothes for a Naked Lady party since ARC comes by once a month for my cast offs, but would be a fun party.

  3. I love your Bush dish that you brought and I would love to have a Naked Lady Party and find clothes that fit me.

  4. This is a great idea! I have so many things I haven’t worn in ages, doubt I will ever, it would be good to have something like this.

  5. I have never heard of, or been to A Naked Lady Party. Sounds like food, friends and fun, with some “new” clothes too !Nice that the clothes that are left go to charity as well, and no one has to haul those bags of unwanted clothes back home! Great idea!

  6. Oh this is such a fabulous idea!! I love that you get to get some new clothes…and everything left goes to charity! So awesome and such a great way to reuse our clothing!!!
