Mix up a memory with your family and Pillsbury Gluten-Free Baking Mixes!

Baking has always been a fun way to spend quality time with my kids, and no one makes it easier to get straight to the YUM and the quality time than Pillsbury! The J.M. Smucker Company asked me to #MixupaMoment and create a fun recipe for them. I found out that Pillsbury has a whole line of Gluten-Free Premium cake mixes, cookie mixes, brownie mix, and lots of gluten-free icings that are SO EASY to grab and make! The next time you’re in WalMart, just head over to the baking aisle and grab one of their Premium gluten-free baking mixes, and mix up a moment with your family!

On my last WalMart trip I was able to easily find these Pillsbury Premium mixes right on the baking aisle- look at all the choices I had! My husband and son love sugar cookies, so I gravitated towards that, but grabbing the brownies and a cake mix were a no-brainier, too! And Pillsbury has so many choices of frosting! Which was perfect, because I wanted to be able to mix and match the frosting with the mixes. Perfect! I love to keep these mixes on hand because I can quickly make a treat for my family without tearing my kitchen apart or having to spend lots of money. It’s so simple and convenient, and my kids love it when I bake- they circle like hungry tigers, waiting to lick the spoon!

I decided to make cupcakes out of the cake mix. I let my kids do all the work and they thought it was awesome! I love having their help in the kitchen and knowing its bringing a smile to their face. Except my teenager because I let his brother have the first one.

I also was delighted to discover that the sugar cookie mix didn’t contain any milk or egg products, so it was very simple to turn this particular is into a cookie that was both vegan and (of course) gluten free! That is such an unexpected bonus- many times if you’re going to family gatherings, there may be someone who has specific dietary restrictions, and this cookie will really hit it out of the park. I’ll share more about how I made the cookies in my next post, so be on the look-out and I can this awesome way to save on Pillsbury right now!
