If you have children, I’m sure that at least one of them has a “lovey,” whether it be a blanket, stuffed animal, or some other well loved toy, that they carry around with them, day after day, and they refuse to let you wash them, or even take them away without some sort of tantrum. My 11 year old had a stuffed bear. He loved that bear and called it Pokey. It is still on his bed and has lost all of his stuffing because of how often my son slept with it and played with it. If you haven’t found your children’s “lovey,” I think I may have found something that they’ll enjoy.
Minky Couture was started in 2009, by Sandi Henry. She started making blankets for friends and family members, and then discovered the Minky fabric, and began designing different combinations, so that each gift was different and unique. Right after the company began, Sandi’s daughter became ill, and was hospitalized. She asked her mother to make her a “big baby blanket”, and that’s how the adult sized blankets began. My son was sent a ‘Tween’ blanket and it is just perfect. Too perfect in fact because his big brother wants it.
The Soft Minky Blankets by Minky Couture are great for just about anyone, including YOU. They make baby blankets, tween blankets, blankets for boys, girls, and just about everyone in between. They even make a Man-ky…a blanket for even the most manly of men! I received the Tween blanket to review because the baby wasnt born yet and I wanted to have something special for my two year old.
The great thing about Minky Couture, is that you can choose what designs and fabrics for your blanket. These blankets are great for first road trips, first big kid beds, or even for your kids to take off to college. Cuddling up with a great book would be a great idea for these blankets as well! Baby Moriah loves sleeping on it because it is so soft and cuddly.
Minky Couture was recently featured on CBS’s The Talk, as #7 on Julie Chen’s “Top Chen Best 2012 Holiday Gift List” as well as on the Doctors. There was also an article in the Salt Lake Tribune showing off their line of Valentine’s Day Blankets.
Have you considered purchasing a luxurious blanket in the past? If so, you should put Minky Couture at the top of your shopping list!
I didn't realize you got to pick the fabrics I thought you had the choice of colors. I love this. My youngest is a month old, in two weeks he will be on his first road trip (5 day drive). Thanks for sharing, cute pictures.
I love the Manky for the manliest of men.
