Make Blogging Easier with CoSchedule

I’m a mom, and I’m a blogger. That first bit is really, really important to me, because as much as I love blogging, I am a mother first. In order to save time and keep myself organized in the blogging part of my life, I’ve turned to CoSchedule, an amazing calendar plug-in for WordPress. It’s saving me tons of time and is running my social media world for me. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without it- it lets me get my blogging done in time and on schedule so I can focus on my kids the way I want to.

 

CoSchedule is a visual Calendar for WordPress- It helps me create social media content for my blog posts as I write them, and then I’m able to customize those posts for each platform – both text and picture choices – and then schedule the posts to go out when I want them to. Using CoSchedule, I have a visual way to plan, track and co-ordinate my social media posts as I go. I can see when each post is going to publish on which platform from the calendar tab, and I’m also able to drag and drop posts on the calendar to schedule, postpone, or move up posting dates and times. And what’s so amazing to me is that I can do it all from within WordPress. This is a HUGE convenience.

 

CoSchedule integrates social media platforms directly into WordPress. I’m able to seamlessly and effortlessly schedule posts to each of the major social media outlets while I’m writing. Scheduling each blog post and accompanying social media posts is a highly intuitive, easy to use process that’s simple to use and understand. As a finish each post, I just scroll down to CoSchedule and select which social media platforms I want to send this post to, and how I want those posts to appear. I absolutely love that I can use Pinterest and specify which boards I want the post to pin to- and I can also use all the other major social media sites- Facebook, Twitter, and more. I can then schedule the time and date to be published, and I’m done. Double-checking the scheduling is as simple as clicking on the calendar tab. There I can move any posts around that might need adjusting.

 

The Calendar tab is terrific in so many ways- the visual nature of the display lets me see if I’ve got any big gaps in my postings. That works so much better for me than trying to see a written schedule in my head and puzzle it out. It keeps my postings across all outlets consistent, with the goal of having properly timed exposure across multiple platforms to drive traffic to my site.

 

CoSchedule can also help more editorial bloggers manage their teams- it allows an editor to assign posts or other content to specific team members and track it- all from inside WordPress. CoSchedule also helps facilitate communication with team members inside WordPress as well, and can help send reminders out to different team members. This is something I’m paying close attention to- as my blog grows, this feature will become incredibly useful in tracking what’s being published and by who.
