I love living in Alabama most of the time.  I was born here and will die here. If I had to pick a thing I hate about living here it would definitely be the crazy weather.  I fully believe that Alabama is the only place that you can have a tornado on Tuesday and a blizzard on Wednesday (this actually happened).  The temperature is usually steady so when it does rain the humidity is crazy. I honestly can’t believe how high it gets here sometimes.  So having a humidifier is a must. We were sent the LUMA COMFORT HCW10B Cool & Warm Mist Humidifier to try out at our house and we couldn’t be happier with it.

My children both get really sniffly and sneezy (I am pretty sure those are not words but I am taking a creative license) when the weather changes.  Our middle child has an immune problem so he is sick often. One of the first things our immunologist told us is that we need to always have a great humidifier. He said it could save his life.  Every time either of our younger children are sick, we run the humidifier all night after the asthma treatments and saline drops.  If we do not run it then they both cough all night.  It has been awesome  to have the new Luma Comfort humidifier because we only had one and now we have finally gotten our 3 year old to sleep in his room which he shares with his older brother.  So we have our old one in our room and the new one with our boys.  I am considering getting another Luma Comfort humidifier though when our old one finally dies.  It is so much cooler than ours. It has a 12 hour adjustable timer so I can set it when I put the boys to bed and not worry about it.

It has the coolest blue LED display. I thought it would be hard to set everything up because I am not the best at electronics but honestly it was pretty easy.  It was actually self explanatory but I looked at the manual anyway.  Unlike some things in my house (I am looking at you bread maker), the manual was relatively short and quite easy to follow.  Before I owned this I had no idea what a built-in hygrometer was but now I know. My humidifier is so awesome that it offers custom humidity control.  That means that it measures how much humidity is in the air and it will adjust itself! It also covers 538 square feet which is more than I need but also means I could easily use it in my living room or even my basement.

I highly recommend that all homes have a humidifier and the LUMA COMFORT HCW10B is a great one for anyone.  It is sleek and stylish.  In my opinion, it is very unobtrusive.  I had it in the boys’ room for several days before my husband even noticed it.  That should show you who always does bedtime.  It is this girl.  It is also super easy to fill the water tank and carry it back to the base.  My kids love the micromist and they try to catch it in their hands.  Check out this video of why this is a great humidifier.
