I try to expose my children to STEM products as often as I can because it encourages kids to develop core skills in science, technology, engineering, and math. I always loved those subjects in school and I want my kids to think they are cool. STEM programs help with that. Best Buy carries products from basic learning games to advanced toys designed to stimulate a child’s mind in the STEM areas, helping to develop logic and problem solving skills. It was so very awesome robot toy last year. The Dash was so fun. My kids have had a great time learning about this new awesome robot that we were sent recently as well. It is the Ozobot 2.0 Bit starter pack.

Introduce your child to coding with this Ozobot 2.0 Bit starter pack. Using the included markers and paper, children draw colorful designs that Bit’s optical sensors read as movement commands. My 6 year old wasnt quite up to the coding yet on the Ozobot but he really got the hang of it after we worked on it some more. I plan to post a new video of him getting Ozobot to go places. Ozobot is unique in that the initial learning is understanding that colors can dictate action, which leads to cause/effect building blocks for future programming. There are 20 activities included in the starter pack but we have only done about half of them. I love how excited it makes my son to learn more and try all the activties. There are also more that can be downloaded from the Ozobot app which is super awesome. I think this is a STEM toy that can definitely grow with my son and even my 4 year old daughter was trying to get into it. She didnt understand that different colors did different things but she knew that they made Ozobot move. And for around $59.99, its incredibly affordable for children.
