Day 5! Day 5! Its now Day 5 of the KY Intimacy Experiment and today’s exercise is “Fun and Game”. Ohhh, fun and games. I love fun and games. With the last two days, we have learned that too much comfort can be a bad thing. However, being secure in your relationship can also be a benefit which means you are more likely to try new things. It says you are less likely to be embarrassed but that must come after the 6 year mark or something because I still get terribly embarrassed.
The exercise for today is to discover new things together. Choose an activity you have never done together before. Some things the pamphlet suggested are to sing a karaoke duet, explore a local playground, or children’s museum (without the kids), take an adult-ed class and learn how to dance or do standup comedy or improv.
My husband and I decided to go to the park together. Now we have done this before but the park is really different when you dont have your children. In fact, I kinda felt like a creeper or at least I hoped people didnt think I was one. We walked the nature trail and it was very relaxing. Especially since my husband is the funniest guy on the planet. He kept me entertained for our whole walk.
The night activity was super fun as well. Take a deck of playing cards, a pack of blank index cards, and two pens. Split the index cards between the two of you and on half of your cards write down your most sensitive body parts and hot spots. The other half, write down a method of touch that makes you weak. When you are done put the cards in separate stacks in the middle of the table. Then you can get down to playing poker. The winner gets to pick card from each pile and play it out or have it done to them. Can we say exciting and fun? Much more fun than strip poker which I assure you I have never played ;p
