By now I am sure you are just like me and anxiously waiting on May 6th to get here so that you can see Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War. While I have already seen it and will be posting my review (no spoilers I promise) I want to see it again and again. I want to make all my friends see it so I can discuss it at length with them. But since it is not the 6th yet, I wanted to share another of the interviews I did while I was in LA for the #CaptainAmericaEvent. I have to premise this in saying that I had no idea I was going to get to interview my super love Paul Bettany and didn’t even consider it. So when everyone asked me who I hoped I would get to interview I always said Jeremy Renner because he is hot and I love Hawkeye. And they added in Elizabeth Olsen who plays Scarlett Witch so that was pretty awesome. She is so beautiful and her character, Wanda, is awesome even if they can’t bring in the Magneto is their father story line.

When Elizabeth and Jeremy walked in, Elizabeth said, “A lot of Stark shirts in the audience” and Jeremy added “We’re gonna have a problem.” We all had special shirts made for the event for #TeamIronMan and #TeamCap and most of us were wearing our shirts. It was actually pretty equal but I guess they noticed our shirts more. Because #TeamIronMan is cooler of course. They are both on Cap’s side in the movie.

They asked us if we had seen the movie and we told them that we had. They said they hadnt seen it yet but Jeremy joked that he guessed that they didnt get cut from the movie. We assured him that they had not. He made a lot of jokes about that. Anytime we asked about a future movie he just said, until they kill me off.” I think it was funny because you know how superhero movies are, someone has to die nobly. That word looks weird but I looked it up and it does mean, “in a noble manner”.

I asked Jeremy about Hawkeye being mostly deaf in the comics and if they were going to work that into the storyline at some point.

Jeremy Renner – I keep hearing about that and it isn’t really kind of played out at this point. Not unless we say he’s got an amazing hearing aid or something. We were focused much more on the alternate sort of version of not the big purple mask sort of guy. They talked about that, but I don’t think its going to play anytime soon- things are a little late.

He does actually have an amazing hearing aid in the comics so maybe? Who knows. He was making us all laugh because he kept shifting in his chair and finally asked us if these were the MOST uncomfortable chairs ever. Then he got down on his knees behind the table because I guess it was more comfortable than sitting in that chair.

We asked them both about their stunts and how much of it is them and how much is done by a stunt crew.

Elizabeth Olsen – I think we do as many stunts as we can and then they sometimes take a second crew out or they’ll film things when we’ve already been wrapped from the movie. When they’re in Germany, they might do stuff then. But when we are there, we do everything.

Jeremy Renner– Yea, it’s almost just practical stuff. I don’t do CGI. It happens outside the arrows- you know you fire the arrow because its gotta go somewhere right? You know like at the cameraman. I say about 99% of the scripted stunts are us though.

Elizabeth Olsen– Also, I don’t like having a stunt person do what I do. They have to mesh a move because its not like a role or a fall.

Jeremy Renner– There’s one flip or something I cannot do so my stuntman did it all. He’s awesome.

Elizabeth joked around a lot about her character because a lot of what she does is CGI so she is just waving her arms around in a weird way on the set. Apparently that led to some great 4 am laughs while they were filming with Paul Bettany. They said they were all loopy and giggly and it was just fun joking around. They both talked so highly of their cast mates.

Another thing we asked Elizabeth was if she was always a fan of Scarlett Witch. She didnt really know much about her character until Joss Whedon explained it.

Elizabeth Olsen – I was already a fan of Ironman and Avengers. I saw it with my dad and it was about the second time seeing it, and it just came to Servia, and I loved it. Then when I told my older brother who loves comics and knows- he is the person who can guess where everything’s going, and he’s right somehow. I told him I was meeting with Joss, but I didn’t know what character it was gonna be. Joss started explaining to me who the Scarlet Witch was, and he also said, when you look at the comics, just know I will not put you in a leotard, and cape, and a head piece. Then I started reading more about her journey, and I found the fact that her mind is the only thing that limits her, and the ever possibility of this kind of insanity and being able to manipulate reality those kinds of things, to me are really cool.

I didn’t know when they would come into play or if they will, and I still hope we play around more with that part of her, but I just think she’s a really cool character, and it’s a lot of opportunity for storytelling.

They have amazing chemistry in the movie in a big brother/little sister way. Clint seems to really care about Wanda. And Elizabeth and Jeremy seem to get along great off set. In fact Elizabeth revealed that she’s currently filming a movie with Jeremy right now in Park City. We asked Jeremy if that was why he kept posting pictures of snow on his Twitter and it is. Sadly Jeremy thinks having his own action figures is weird. Elizabeth liked them though. He told her that hot characters were ok but she was holding a lego Scarlet Witch and she said No, lego ones are weird.

We asked them was there any real life tension between the actors since they were all playing against each other in the movie.

Elizabeth Olsen – No. It’s a lot of laughing. There’s a lot of jokes and a lot of inappropriate humor.

Jeremy Renner – Everyone’s got a good attitude.

Elizabeth Olsen – I mean, Paul Bettany, who is in such an uncomfortable costume, sweating through the prosthetics and he can’t take them off–he’s so miserable–and he is still one of the funniest people on set. I think everyone just has a good attitude. If we complain, we laugh about it and move on because it’s–you can’t complain about it. It’s a really awesome job. And I think we all recognize that. I’m so excited to keep going. Just because it’s so fun to hang out with everyone. And to go to different locations… it’s just fun.

Jeremy Renner – Until they kill us.

Elizabeth Olsen – Yeah, until we die.

Let’s hope they dont kill their characters off anytime soon. I would miss them both. It was a super amazing interview. It was full of laughs just like our interview with Chris EvansThey both took pictures with us (at the top of this point) and then they left. Jeremy Renner gestured for me to go ahead of him through the door. I know I should have but I squealed internally. I do not know what it is about him but he is just wonderful. Make sure you are following the #CaptainAmericaEvent hashtag to find out more about the movie and see more interviews with the stars! And see the movie on May 6th!
