Hack Your Way to Fun with Watch Dogs 2

The much anticipated sequel to Watch Dogs, is finally here! Watch Dogs 2 lets you play as Marcus Holloway who is actually a likable character. He seems to have more of a reason to his quest than the protagonist from Watch Dogs. The game is stationed in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it’s your job to take down a corrupt establishment by hacking your way through the system! Sound like a good way to pass the many hours to you? It does to me. I have been waiting for the new Watch Dogs game for ages. I heard Ubisoft was making it from a gamer board I am a part of and I was like OOOOHHH I wonder what angle they will go with it. Then I was offered the chance to review it and I was like YES! My niece and son played Watch Dogs almost constantly and so did my husband. I am more of the quiet player. I like it late at night when little ears may not hear the dirty words coming from the game or me.

Almost everything is free game in Watch Dogs 2. As in, nothing is really off limits when it comes to hacking in this open-world. It is a huge open world map and I am terribly impressed by it. I have spent a lot of time just exploring. In Watch Dogs 2, you use your skills to gain access to whatever you need to in order to take down the evil on the other side of the screen! Because of this it really leaves the decisions up to the player, and keeps things interesting. We have played for quite a few hours over the last week and I haven’t found any hang ups in the game play.  My teenager is almost finished with the story and he is still enjoying it. The soundtrack is pretty good and I could find myself jamming along during the game. That is my teenager’s smug face that he got it before his friends. He recently shaved his head and I told him he should look mean in the picture but he couldn’t help smiling at me. Or maybe he was smiling at all the jokes that Marcus Holloway cracks at himself. Some of them are too punny, slightly cringe-ish for my taste but I cant say much, have you seen my blog titles?

This game is rated M for mature, so keep that in mind when buying. This probably wouldn’t be a game you would want to buy for younger kids, but for the mature player, this game would be perfect. If you enjoyed Watch Dogs, chances are you will enjoy Watch Dogs 2 just as much. I know we did. This game is actually quite visually appealing! The bright colors from the rooftops and scenery really make for a colorful in-game experience. And the graphics are simply amazing. The people, the cars, the scenery, just all of it. All around, this game is sure to be enjoyed by many and is another win from Ubisoft! They also have some really cool in game challenges on their website. You should definitely check them out. They also welcome you to show them your best game shots.

“Be sure to share your best gameplay moments on Twitter by tweeting us (@watchdogsgame) and also sharing them on Reddit (reddit.com/r/watch_dogs). We want to see some epic videos and screenshots coming out of these challenges. Who knows, we may even end up doing a contest for the best gameplay videos and screenshots from the T-Bone Chaos Challenges. So go out there, get creative, and show us what you got!”
