Give Good This Year With a UNICEF Inspired Gift

It is that time of year. The time of year that people spend quite a bit of money to show our loved ones that we appreciate them.  It is the time of year of carols and snowflakes. It is also the time of depression and stress for some.  For most of my life my mom would get extremely depressed at Christmas time. We were very poor growing up. My father was a sheet rock hanger and business would always drop off when it got colder.  My mom would worry that she would disappoint us and she would just cry if we didn’t like the few things she was able to buy us.  It was awful.  Now that I am older I remember those times.  I remember my mom’s face.  I always try to donate to charities that focus on children during the year but especially during the holidays.  Children from broken homes or from very poor areas in the world deserve to have something during the holidays.  They need to know that people care.  I wish we lived in a perfect world but we do not and there are so many people in need. One of my favorite charities is UNICEF.  They target areas where children are in need and they have a great Christmas gift program to help children.

This holiday season you can Give Good with a UNICEF Inspired Gift that will literally ‘change’ a child’s life.  Honestly, the best gifts you can give are great christmas charity gifts.  In the past when I was giving to people in my old office I would donate to their favorite charity.  I know what it is like to go out there and volunteer and see these families who have nothing.  This is here in the States so I cannot even imagine children in less advanced countries. When I headed up my volunteer organization I always planned to go out and travel to help children in other countries but I never got the chance.  Just because I could not go in person though, doesnt mean I could not help.  UNICEF’s range of charity gifts start from $11. They have many  gifts to choose from and it is easy to select one to help other. They will send the gift where it is needed the most.  Children who have nothing are in need and I know that I will be giving this year at Christmas and during the rest of the year.
