You would think that since I have a preteen now that I would be used to the sad feeling that my child is old enough for preschool.  I just cant believe it has been that long.  I wont say that we havent been looking forward to this though.  My middle child has a late birthday so he wont get to go to Kindergarten for THREE MORE YEARS! Isn’t that silly? So I signed him up for 3k preschool this year.  We love learning at our house.   He begs for books as his ‘prize’ when we are in the store.  He loves to do activity puzzles.  I am absolutely not worried about him going to school because I know he is going to love it.  He does his school work every afternoon when his brother gets home and does his homework.  I let him color or do a puzzle so he thinks he is doing homework as well.  I did not know that I could have been getting him ready for preschool with Disney Junior.  I had no idea such awesome products were right there in front of my face at Walmart in the back to school section.  My son squealed when he saw Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

Disney Junior has everything a child could want and all the learning that parents love for their child to get #Ready4Preschool featuring Sofia the First, Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Doc Mcstuffins and Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  My son wanted everything they had.  Everything.  I told him that maybe we should start with a few items but he stood firm that he wanted to learn.

We were supposed to be going to the Splash Pad after we went to Walmart but my son didn’t want to leave his stuff in the car.  He wanted to take his learning stuff with him.  That is his very unhappy face. It was 900 degrees and he wanted to sit in the car to play with his Disney Junior games.

I convinced him we should wait until we got home.  As soon as we got home, he wanted to ‘learn’.  He took a cute little video and he is such so cute. He did actually think that Mickey Mouse Clubhouse would sing but he wasn’t disappointed.

He told me that he wanted to open all of his school items.  Then he told his brother that he needed to get his homework so they could do homework together.  I think it is awesome that Disney Junior has such a great selection of preschool items.  They are perfect for us because my son knows his ABC’s but he doesnt know what they all look like.  He also knows his numbers but not addition or subtraction.

He loves little puzzles and things to figure out so he thought the Doc Mcstuffins Alphabet Learning Acitivity was great.  You find words based on what the letter is.  He was looking all over so that he could put the words on the bandaids. I think he is going to have a great time at school because Disney Junior is helping him get ready for the real thing.

  1. Ohhh, I haven’t seen these at Walmart. Sawyer would love them though. He can’t start Kindergarten until he’s almost 6 thanks to a late birthday!

    1. Elijah’s bbday is 9/23 so he is just 21 days over the limit and cant start till he is 6. So I will be paying for Mommies Day Out and preschool for awhile longer.

  2. I have a feeling your little one is going to be very well prepared for pre-school. You found some great activities!

  3. I’m glad to know the preschool crowd is being represented. I know when my youngest wasn’t going to school, he definitely wanted to feel like the big kids and get ready for the back to school season.

  4. My children are older, but I wish they had so many Disney-themed early learning activities when they were younger. It’s great to have so many options!

  5. My girls love disney junior! I am always excited to see all the fun educational items they come out with that has the kids favorite character. I think it makes it funnier for them to do the activities.

  6. I love how Disney is getting on board the learning train. It’s great to see that kids will be able to associate there favorite characters with learning things.

  7. What great products for getting preschoolers ready for school! I have 3 kids in elementary school now but I’m sure 1st grader would probably still have fun with some of these products.

  8. How wonderful to have so many fun ways to nurture that love of learning! they do grow up fast don’t they? With my oldest entering her senior year, my second starting high school and my baby getting ready for 2nd grade there are a lot of mixed emotions floating around as we approach the start of this new school year.
