Enjoying the Award Show Season with Merci Chocolates

This is one of my favorite times to watch television. It seems like every other week there is a new award show to watch and I LOVE award shows. In my opinion there is nothing to not like about them. They are super entertaining. There are always great acts and great hosts so even if you aren’t up on popular culture or even know half the people being given awards you can still have a good time watching.  My favorite award show is the Grammys.  I like the Oscars as well but who doesnt?  According to Merci Chocolates one of the highlights of these annual star-studded evenings is listening to the emotional and meaningful thank you speeches.

I have had a few viewing parties at my house.  They weren’t big and I didnt do much. Mostly I just made dinner or snacks and we all sat around discussing the outfits worn by the stars. The thing we love the most is talking about the speeches.  I swear at some points I kind of wanted to cry at some of the speeches those actors or singers or directors made.  Oh and the announcers would make some really great ones as well.  Usually they would try to make light of it at the end to keep the audience rolling but you can always see the real emotion.

I was given a great Joy of Thank You Red Carpet Kit which included A box of Merci chocolates to share, four elegant champagne flutes, a festive popcorn container, and a list of tips to help you share meaningful thank yous and toasts. Because meaningful thank yous are not just a once a year thing. You can share one with someone in your family or a friend any day and it will be so well received.  Just imagine if you were on stage getting an award.  Who would you share a meaningful thank you with? Who would mention that really impacted your life?

  1. I like Awards shows. I get excited when they are one. I like the pre-show where they show all the women coming in with their dresses. I like to see what they are wearing. And I like seeing the surprise on the winners faces!

  2. I really enjoy watching them. I'd give an award to my elderly Aunt. She's had one great life. She was a nurse in WWII, she was a head nurse for years and even was a college professor, teaching other nurses.

  3. I love the red carpet walks and fashion but rarely watch the entire awards shows. If I ever won something (yeah, right) I'd thank my family.

  4. Yes I watch them if I'm not working. I like seeing all the glammed up people and their dresses. I'd thank my husband.

  5. I don't like watching the actual award show itself on TV but I do like watching the red carpet interviews before hand and the highlights of the awards show the next day.

  6. I* like award shows because it shines the light on people who have worked hard
