Creating with IDO3D ART Drawing Pen

One of my kids favorite things to do is color and draw so when I was given the chance to try out the IDO3D™ Pro 3D Drawing Pen, now available at Michael’s, I knew it was going to be a huge hit at my house (I also knew it was going to be a bit of a fight because I only had one pen.) As soon as the package was opened I was bombarded with all the awesome things they wanted to make. A few of them were: a dinosaur, a box, Elsa, a car. The list seemed never ending and luckily I was sent some refill packs of different colors because they all wanted to try something different. I also knew right away that I was right about it being a hit at my house and the website has some great projects you can try out.

The IDO3D Pro Pen comes with the pen, 3 pen tips, battery, 3D ink cartridge and plastic tracing sheet. My kids loved it and I loved watching them try so hard to make the things they imagined real. I also found out that they have free art lessons on www.createin3d.com which my kids had a blast learning about. However, it was harder than my kids thought to make things. The pen is super easy to use but its easier to sketch out a trace before starting trying to make things.

My older son got the biggest kick out of using the IDO3D pen. He started trying to look designs he could make. He wanted to make a lizard. I am in awe of his drive because I could barely make a 3D box.

But my kids did use it a lot more than me so I guess I just need practice. If you can handle the country accent, this is my tiny rambling review of the IDO3D Pro 3D Drawing Pen.

 

Then we decided to see if we could make something that would be fun for the kitchen so the kids and I made DIY Magnets. We (and I am using that loosely) made some flowers and then glued magnets on the back of them. You can buy flat sheets of magnet paper at craft stores like Michaels or online. Or you can buy already cut out magnet shapes. We already had a flat sheet that my mom had brought over doing crafts with the kids so it was easy to just glue right on.

 

My kids and I give the IDO3D pen a big thumbs up. I cant wait to see what all my kids can create with it! Remember you can find it at Michaels!
