I was provided 2 bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce from August Kitchen to facilitate my review. As always, I provided my honest opinion.
I cannot say how much I love Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce. I tasted it at a fellow blogger’s house awhile back and just loved it so I was excited for the chance to review it on here. I immediately tried it on my Meaty Hot Dog recipe. While my husband likes hot and spicy, I like things to be flavorful and rich.
It is so much more than just a steak sauce. I have used it over veggies (hmm, steamed broccoli and carrots), hamburger meat, pork chops, and as a glaze for ribs. I find myself swiping my plate with my food for that last little bit of sauce. Its so sweet but tangy at the same time.
This is a recipe I tried from the Country Bob’s website:
Country Bob’s Meatballs
3 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce (or may substitute Spicy)
1 envelope onion soup mix
Salt and pepper
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp garlic powder
Combine all ingredients. Shape into golf ball sized balls. Brown in pan. Add spaghetti sauce and simmer until done.
I didn’t use the spaghetti sauce. I also added shredded cheese which I pressed into the meatballs and just warmed in the oven for 3-5 minutes. I served them as a finger food for a birthday party. I made two whole trays full and they were gone within 30 minutes so I think they were a success.
