WalMart offers an amazing pay-as-you go family plan that is a perfect way to help keep loved ones in touch. Under their Family Mobile Plan, the first line is just $29.88 for unlimited Talk, Text & Data. I’ve blogged about their amazing low-price unlimited plans before, when we found it to be an amazing cost-cutting deal for our family. The unlimited talk and text is amazing, and unlimited data with up to 1G of 4G LTE data is great! And now I’ve found another way to brighten someone’s life and save them money at the same time! My grandmother is the most awesomest person ever and I think its a great time to give her something she can really use.
Mother’s Day is such a great time to celebrate the mothers in our lives. And it’s not just solely for moms- there are often many mother figures in our lives that are important. At least it’s that way for me! I was practically raised by my grandmother and I still go to her house for Sunday dinner every week I can. I thought that this year it would be a great time to honor and celebrate my sweet Memaw. She is always the person in our family that organizes birthday parties and family get togethers, so I thought it should be her turn! And since her birthday falls right around Mother’s Day every year, I could spoil her with a birthday gift that would help her capture her party memories, and make it easier for her to keep in touch with the loved ones she does so much for. We cant do a party for her until 5/17 but I still wanted to get her gift together.
The WalMart phone center was easy to find, and the ZTE Zinger was an easy choice. You can see how easy to locate things are in this picture of my local WalMart. They have a great section for the WalMart Family Mobile section. My store even had two displays. The one time activation kit is only $25 and they will help you do everything in store. It is extremely easy to activate your phone on the My Family Mobile website as well.
The ZTE Zinger was a great phone for my Memaw. I was able to load it with all the apps she needed, and once I got her set up with her contacts she was ready to roll! The camera is perfect for taking pictures at all the family events she engineers, and I showed her how she can share her pictures with us, and how we can send our pictures to her smartphone! She loves seeing the pictures I take of the kids every day, and I love knowing I’m putting a smile on her face by helping her keep in touch. It’s so useful to help create lasting memories on the go! And the kids were super excited to be able to sign her card and give her the new phone that ‘they’ bought her at WalMart.
And I don’t have to worry about pricey plans or charges for going over allotted minutes. The freedom of unlimited calls & texts at such a low price is a big relief, and I know with the unlimited data & 1G of 4G LTE data that my Memaw can access information any time she needs it! She often has the grandchildren spending the night so I know they will ‘borrow’ her phone and I am glad they can’t make her go over her data or minutes.
