Orange juice since we have a household of sick people |
So I went to the Alabaster, AL Walmart store #423 and found it right where the rest of the of the sugar/baking products are! I was amazed at how much you get for so cheap! I grabbed a canister and some other stuff I needed for my delicious pork chop dinner I was planning for my boys. I don’t normally buy meat from Walmart because I can usually catch it cheaper at Publix on restock day but it was an amazing price so I grabbed it! I took a picture next to the Splenda because they are comparable but I think Equal is better since it comes in a canister.
See, doesn’t the canister look better? |
I rushed home to make some cookies with Baby E. He is not really a big help until it comes to eating. I mean, have you ever tried to spoon out cookies with a toddler on your hip?
Ingredients
1/3 cup stick butter, softened
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/3 cup Equal® Spoonful or Granulated*
1/3 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips
1. Beat butter with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla until blended. Mix in Equal® and brown sugar until combined.
It always looks gross until you add the dry products to it in step 2 |
2. Mix combined flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into butter mixture until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips.
3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheet.
See my uneven shaky cookies? Blame Baby E. He really wanted to help |
4. Bake in preheated 350° F oven 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden color. Remove from baking sheet and cool completely on wire rack.
Baby E loved his cookies. I am so happy that I can make delicious desserts for my family and not worry about all the sugar they are eating! With Equal, it is also less fattening and more healthy! If you want to see my full shopping trip and recipe prep, you can on my Google + album. You can check out some more awesome recipes and health information on Equal’s website, Equal.com.
These cookies look delicious! I have never tried to use Equal to make cookies. But your recipe looks very easy and not to fattening. I like chocolate chip cookies but I do not like all the sugar! I am going to try to make these cookies!
