We recently got the chance to try out Tropical Smoothie Cafe for my Holiday Gift Guide. I live about 15 minutes from two of them so its strange that I havent tried them before. There is even one near the Sam’s Club that I shop at. I took my littles with me to try it out because they are the best judge of taste. I love sweets so I knew I would like the smoothies. I love smoothies period even green ones. It’s something about the texture. Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Hoover, AL is a small shop but they are pretty quick with orders.
I ordered an “Indulgent Smoothie” named Bahama Mama. I tasted it and it tasted great to me but then the kids took it. Which is lucky because I realized after I left when I was checking the website for this post that it has strawberries, pineapple, white chocolate & coconut. I am allergic to pineapple. The kids really loved it and fought over it.
I also ordered some food. They have a menu with wraps, sandwiches, flatbreads, tacos, salads, kids food, and sides. I had the Ultimate Club which is ham, turkey, bacon, swiss, parmesan, tomatoes, a romaine spinach blend & chipotle mayo on a ciabatta. The chipotle mayo was a little bit too hot for me. I am a baby when it comes to hot foods. My husband ate the rest for me and said he is going to start going there on lunch. He had no idea they had food too. I got a chocolate chip cookie as my side and it was more chocolate than cookie. My kids really appreciated that. I think its awesome that its not just a smoothie shop. Its got yummy fresh food and a changing menu. They have limited time items and they have promotions.
