Broccoli Garlic Pasta

A hearty side dish of broccoli, garlic, and thin spaghetti pasta with red pepper flakes

  • 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup of broccoli florets thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 lb thin spaghetti cooked al dente
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • Parmesan cheese for garnish


  • In a large sauté pan, heat the olive oil, garlic, broccoli, and pepper flakes over medium heat for about five minutes. Bigger pieces of broccoli may take longer.
  • Add salt and pepper to the broccoli mixture and turn to low heat
  • Add cooked spaghetti a little at a time to the pan. Toss in the broccoli mixture until well mixed
  • Add grated parmesan cheese to the top for garnish
