I was seriously excited about trying out the new Linksys WRT3200ACM Gigabit Wi-Fi Router. My family is a power internet user. With both me and my husband playing online video games, my teen son playing games and streaming media, and both my younger kids streaming and playing games, we stay pretty connected throughout the day. Whether we are doing research for a school project, having a family movie night, looking for recipes online, or streaming music, odds are pretty good that we are using our internet connection for SOMETHING for a good chunk of the day. So we are pretty serious about making sure we stay up and running, and that we don’t get a lot of interruptions. Steam is on almost constantly and with Civ VI coming out we need the best!
The Linksys Router was FABULOUS. Once we got it hooked up, we could really see a difference in how our Wi-Fi performed throughout the house. Our other router was a little aged, and didn’t always have a capacity we were looking for. Sometimes if someone was on an online game, it would be hard to watch a movie without some lag or delay. The Linksys Router really pushed our access to the next level- gameplay was smoother, more than one person could do something internet-intensive at a time, and there was no lag or buffering during family movie night- and let’s face it, a Pixar movie is WAY better when it plays like it should!
