“I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Cascade. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating. As always, all opinions are my own”
I have three sisters. Two are older (12 and 6 years older) and one is younger (4 years younger) so I am the little middle child. By the time I was old enough to have regular chores my oldest sister was already out of the house. For some reason I always had to do the kitchen. I have no idea why since I hated it but it was always my chore. I HATE doing the dishes. I would trade for any other chore and I always said that I would be so glad when I had a house of my own so I didn’t have to do the dishes anymore. Well, I was obviously crazy since I do have a house of my own now and let me tell you that I still ALWAYS have to do the dishes. My husband’s idea of doing the dishes is to unload the dishwasher. He won’t ever do the rest of the dishes and he never rinses anything out.
When we moved into our current house almost 4 years ago one of the biggest selling points of the house was the fact that it came with appliances that were less than 5 years old. Except for the dishwasher. Of course. So we have an older dishwasher that sorta chugs when it washes. We also usually have to pre-rinse our dishes depending on what was in them. I know some people do that anyways but I don’t and I don’t want to. We started using Cascade a few years ago and have never had a complaint so I was pretty excited to try the new Cascade Platinum Pacs. It has a premium, advanced triple action formula that helps prevent residue on your dishes, and even filming on your machine and it has the cleaning power of Dawn which I love. I like the ease of the pacs better. They really stepped up the cleaning power with the Cascade Platinum Pacs because they help prevent the build up of hard water on your dishwasher as well as keeping your dishes sparkly clean. I love how clean it makes the inside of my dishwasher smell!
Cascade has partnered with Top Chef judge and Food+Wine editor Gail Simmons to discuss why presentation is just as important as preparation. Gail
recommends impressing with a Platinum Presentation like using a clean white plate and drizzling chocolate on it. You can find out more about Gail and her tips on the Cascade Facebook page and on YouTube. You can see below where I tried to do that but I guess my cheesecake (very delicious and I will share the recipe later on this week) was too cold and it made my chocolate even drizzlier. You can also see how clean and white my dish is using Cascade Platinum Pacs.
