In the last five years I have lost 9 family members, two friends, and a couple of really awesome work friends. It has been pretty rough on my family. As each death has went by I have had to search through my pictures for their marquee at their viewing or funeral. I have a ton of pictures and each death in my family has brought me even more because that is what I always ask for out of their estates. Just my Aunt Louise alone brought me two gallon ziplock bags full of small pictures and some bigger pictures. At this point I have a huge plastic container that we used to put our fake Christmas tree in filled with pictures I have not scanned yet. Most of them are awkward sized so I wasn’t sure how I would get them on my old printer/scanner or they are in photo books that are so old I am afraid of ripping the pictures. Flip-Pal has the solution though with their amazing mobile scanner.
With the Flip-Pal, you can scan anything up to 4 by 6 inch area on the scanner bed but the unit does come with an easy stitch software which allows you to easily scan and patch together the bigger or more awkward pictures. You can also remove the lid, flip the scanner over, and lay it on what you want to scan. You can scan 3D objects like coins super easy. I told my husband we need to go scan his really cool old coins especially the ones we found in Germany. Some cool things about the Flip-Pal Mobile Scanner are:
- Its Mobile – You can scan and share anytime, anywhere, powered by AA batteries.
- It is Accurate and creates high-quality digital images.
- It is Versatile and can scan small to large items, including photos, art, fabric, keepsakes and more.
- It is good for Preservation – You can safely store important documents and photos by converting them to digital.
- And the most important. It is Easy – simple and quick, scans with the push of one button
Another cool thing is that it is so easy to get the pictures after you have scanned them. This is easily the most fun I have had scanning things probably ever. I spent an hour finding the pictures I wanted to scan in to send to my grandmother. After scanning them, I just removed the SD card from the Flip-Pal and inserted it into the USB drive which came with the Flip-Pal. Then I put it in my computer and moved the photos over. Super simple.
The Flip-Pal comes with a one year warranty. To me that shows a company who stands behind their product. They are also offering a great deal on the pink bundle in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation by offering a $20 discount on it’s Pink Bundle which is a Flip-Pal scanner, commemorative scanner lid and pink carrying case. Just enter the code pink6 after you put the bundle in your shopping cart.
You can check out Flip-Pal on Facebook, follow them on Twitter, and visit them on their website for more information on their products and other awesome promotions!
