It is no secret that my children love Planes: Fire and Rescue which is available TODAY, Nov. 4th on Blu-Ray, DVD, and Disney Anywhere . My daughter even has adorable Planes sneakers which people say make her look boyish. When did planes become a boy thing? I love planes and aviation. That is why I love Planes: Fire and Rescue so much myself. I know how much research went into making it. I know that every detail was thought out and that real aerial firefighters were consulted often about the movie. I got to visit Disneytoon Studios on my #DisneyInHomeEvent & #FireandRescue Event and it was so fun! I had never been so it was a real treat to get to see it that day and learn more about what went into making the movie. We interviewed the Director Bobs Gannaway and the Producer Ferrell Barron to talk about the casting and what they wanted out of the movie. We also had the chance to talk with PLANES: FIRE AND RESCUE’s Paul Gerard (director, creative development) & Jeff Howard (co-writer).
Check out what some of my fellow bloggers thought of the movie and awesome bonus content:
Survival Guide by the Working Mom
Here is a great extended scene from the movie which you can take home TODAY!
There is so much I could say about this movie. I think this one has some really good scenes of character introspection. I know these are animated characters but you could really see the emotion in some scenes. I think the characters chosen for this movie were spot on. Julie Bowen is hilarious as Lil Dipper. She stole the show. My children watched it from beginning to the end which says a lot since my oldest son has ADHD. They all said that Dusty was great in Planes: Fire and Rescue and that it is their new favorite movie. Dusty has to change his stripes and swallow his pride because he can’t be the ‘plane’ he used to be. I think everyone learns something in this new Planes movie and I am happy that I have the new Blu-ray Combo disc which includes all the awesome extended scenes, deleted scenes, and bonus content!
Blu-ray Combo Pack, Digital HD/SD & Disney Movies Anywhere has the following awesome new bonus content:
Exclusive Animated Short – “Vitaminamulch: Air Spectacular” (this was my favorite one. It was cute and funny and the kids LOVED it)
“Welcome to Piston Peak! – This mock-umentary promotional piece shows off all the highlights of the acclaimed Piston Peak National Park and its aerial firefighting team.
“CHoPs” TV Promo – An in-world TV promo with announce.
Air Attack: Firefighters From The Sky – This high-energy, music-driven behind-the-scenes piece takes an inside look at the real smoke jumpers and firefighters who attack wildfires from the air as Director Roberts Gannaway and Producer Ferrell Barron take us through their journey in making the film. (I really loved this one as well. I got to see some of the planes and pilots that do this when we visited Van Nuys Air Tanker Base and it just amazes me. )
