I was invited on an expenses paid trip to LA by Disney to cover the #CinderellaEvent in exchange for my posts of the trip experiences. In addition, JCPenney provided hair, makeup, and accessories for the #JCPCinderellaMoment
I think every person dreams of being able to be transformed and have someone wave a magic wand on you. On my recent #CinderellaEvent press trip I was invited to a Glam Ball put on by JCPenney. It was the chance of a lifetime. Not only would I be walking the red carpet but professionals would be putting on my makeup and doing my hair. We all gathered together at the Loews Hotel (where we stayed on our trip) on the day of the #CinderellaPremiere to walk up to the Glam Ball.
We were met by our own Prince Charming and led into groups of six to different stations. I got to go to the hair station first and my beautiful hair artist was Celeste. Our Prince Charming kept coming by to see if we needed any champagne or anything else. He was incredibly nice. He was the “Purple Prince”.
After talking it over, Celeste and I agree to “try” to put my hair up. My hair is finicky. She said she was going to do an elegant chiffon. I told her I was tenderheaded and she was very gentle. In no time at all my hair was finished.
Then it was time for the accessories station. I was most looking forward to it because I forgot to buy a clutch. I was hoping they could find something for me.
Luckily there was a stylist in there that knew what she was doing because I am terrible at matching. She set me up with a gorgeous necklace and a lovely clutch. They were both shades of silver to match my shoes.
Finally I hit the makeup station after having way too many of their delicious snacks. I wish I drank champagne because the other ladies said it was a great brand and very tasty. Maybe next event I will give it a try.
My makeup artist was very soft spoken and focused. She was able to work around my lash extensions to give me a soft smokey eye look and then she ‘contured’ my face and cheekbones with a darker color before applying blush and lip stain.
This is the final product.
At that point we were given a fun gift bag from JCPenney and then we were given a couple of hours to get our dresses on and finish getting ready for the Cinderella Premiere. I decided to walk around and find some hair jewelry to add to my hair. I found a little shop next to the Loews Hotel and they had so many awesome things. I am surprised I got out of there only spending $30. I bought my hair jewelry, three stretchy type silver and diamond bracelets, three sets of cubic zirconia silver earrings, and a silver bracelet that looked like a belt buckle.
Stay tuned today for the Pre-Reception event that JCPenney also invited us to and what fun gifts they gave us in our gift bags! Also do not forget that Cinderella releases in theaters March 13th and look out for my fellow bloggers on social media using the hashtags #JCPCinderellaMoment and #CinderellaEvent!
