My children got an extra surprise in their Easter baskets this year. They are used to candy and small toys but this year they each got a big toy. I was contacted to review some new toys from BRIO and Ravensburger. They were perfect Easter gifts and they would be awesome for any birthday or event coming up.
My two littles got the BRIO Countryside Horse Set Wooden Railway Train with Magnetic Connection and Brio Remote Control Travel Train. I thought my son would be the most excited. He loves trains and he loves putting things together.
But my daughter surprised me. She was really into the new toys. She had the fences up and the stops. My son did enjoy both toys immensely. He asked me for a screwdriver and he took out the battery back himself and put in the batteries. He is becoming such a little man.
My husband got out there and built some bridges for them and then he played with them for awhile. I guess you are never too old for trains. My oldest son was playing with them the whole time.
My teenager got the Ravensburger Buggaloop game in his basket. He loves board games and I knew he would like this one because he likes Hexbugs.
Look out! There’s a HEXBUG in the yard and it’s coming after you! Players roll the die and move their bugs across the yard, until the HEXBUG emerges from the loop and tries to bump them off. If your bugs are safe, then continue moving across the yard. Get bumped and you’ll have to start from the beginning again! The first player to get all of their bugs safely across wins!
He played it at my mom’s house with my nieces and nephews recently and they all enjoyed it. So its perfect for a range of ages. My nephews are 10 and 18 and nieces are 13 and 15. My 5 year old even enjoyed playing but he didnt quite understand some of the game. It was still fun for him.
BRIO offers so many fun and educational toys for children. You should definitely check them out! Ravensburger also has puzzles and games galore for the kids in your life!
