How adorable are these dirt worm brownies? What a great kids recipe to try with your children while the days are sunny. I think the end of the summer and the weather cooling off is the perfect time for parties and playing outside. Also a perfect time to have fun with recipes!
Dirt Worm Brownies
makes a 9×9 pan
Ingredients
1 box of brownie mix with walnuts
2 eggs
1/2 C oil
1/2 C water
6 Oreo cookies
1/4 C chocolate chips
parchment paper
9×9 baking dish
pam spray
Brownie directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
tear the parchment paper and place inside the pan
spray with pam spray
Mix the brownie batter as directed on the box
Take some oreos and break into pieces and mix inside of the brownie mix
Pour into the baking dish, sprinkle the chocolate chips and bake for 30 minutes
Pullout and set aside
Frosting ingredients
1 C unsalted sweet cream butter
2 C powder sugar
1/2 C cocoa baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
3-5 TBSP heavy whipping cream
1 C crushed oreos
1 package of mini sour gummy worms
Directions
In a standing mixer, coming all ingredients except the heavy whipping cream, oreos and gummy worms
Once the butter, sugar, cocoa and vanilla is combined, add in the heavy whipping cream and continue to mix until stiff peaks form.
Scoop onto the top of the brownies and smooth out
sprinkle the crushed oreos and add gummy worms
