I was invited on an expenses paid trip to LA by Disney to cover the #CinderellaEvent in exchange for my posts of the trip experiences. In addition, JCPenney provided hair, makeup, and accessories for the #JCPCinderellaMoment.
On the day of the Cinderella Premiere, we all got “glammed” at the #JCPCinderellaMoment Glam Ball. You can read about my experience there and how they waved their magic wand over my normal no makeup, ponytail existence and transformed me. After the Glam Ball was over we all headed back to our rooms to get ready. I was so nervous. This was my first red carpet experience and I didn’t want to do anything wrong.
That was my final look of the night. I am pretty lucky I found some great Nina Shoes for the event because I know some people had really high heels and I would have died. I had decent sized heels I guess and my feet did hurt after several hours standing on them but they looked pretty and that was what I cared about.
We all met up again to walk over to the Pre-Reception that JCPenney invited us to. They said it would be magical so I was excited. They also said they would feed us some more so I was even more excited for that. So we all met on the Oscar Stairs and took a group photo. I am in the second row middle.
We walked over to the El Capitan Theater to the Pre-Reception and our Prince Charmings were there. We also saw several of the other JCPenney people who had been helping us earlier. It was nice to see some familiar faces since I was nervous. It was super lovely. We walked in and saw the new Cinderella merchandise from JCPenney first thing.
JCPenney gave all of us a gift bag at the Glam Ball and it contained a gift card(I am going to do some Mommy shopping soon) and a Cinderella ball gown. It is even cuter in person and my son immediately claimed it for the ‘make-believe” box.
They also had some delicious, amazing finger foods. They had meats and cheeses, they had olives, veggies, and all types of drinks. I had my water in a wine glass and felt so fancy. They also had costumes and designs behind each wall. Like the Fairy Godmother gown that Helena Bonham Carter wore in the movie. It apparently had a battery pack under it and it lit up with tons of little led lights. I can imagine she was quite uncomfortable but she pulled it off like the amazing star she is.
We also got to see several other costumes from the movie like Cinderella’s ballgown that Lily James rocked. And her normal ‘rags’ clothes. We even got to see the Prince’s attire.
After the reception, we all waited for the Premiere to start. I was beyond nervous and excited. Probably bordering on scared. I knew I was going to rock it though because I felt confident in my dress and I felt amazing after JCPenney’s Glam Ball.
Check back on Friday to see what happened at the Red Carpet Premiere and you can follow along with the hashtags #CinderellaEvent and #JCPCinderellaMoment to see the other Glam Ball transformations.
