Imagine if everyone made one small, smart decision a day. This holiday season, Tetra Pak wants to inspire people to make small, smart decisions when cooking for their families and stocking their pantries. Their Tetra Pak carton packages, designed for maximum efficiency and environmental friendliness, are one small way to live smarter. I decided this year I am going to Become Carton Smart with Tetra Pak.
I have never really thought about the containers that my food comes in. Honestly I had no idea how much of a difference just replacing cans with cartons would be. Cartons use 1/3 of the packaging compared to cans. Tetra Pak® cartons are made of 70% paper, a renewable resource, from selectively harvested, re-grown trees that are FSC-certified. The unique packaging process preserves the flavor and nutrients of food without the use of preservatives. Product quality is exactly the way it was intended to be. Cartons are so much prettier than other things as well. They line up and stack so much neater than having an assortment of different types of containers.
I love making chicken and rice for my family. It is one of my favorite go to meals especially after a hard day. We use a lot of chicken broth in this house for recipes inlcuding the chicken and rice. I decided to use the Pacific Foods Organic Chicken Simply Stock with my chicken and rice instead of a can of chicken broth. It is pretty cool to see that many of my favorite staples are available in the Tetra Pak carton packages from Carton Smart. And they are recyclable which results in 60% less landfill waste than cans

How are you going to be #CartonSmart this holiday season?
I do purchase products with Tetra Pak cartons. I think it is convenient and easy to store. I do like that it is eco-friendly also. I love Pacific products too.
I think these are a great idea! We are so wasteful in our trash!
