Aladdin was my favorite Disney movie for most of my life. It is hard to believe how old it is now. It came out in 1992. I was 7. I remember seeing it in theaters. I only saw two movies in theaters when I was a kid that I clearly remember and they were Lion King and Aladdin. Then I was like 12 before I saw another one. So Aladdin was super special to me. I loved the Genie and I LOVED Iago. Gilbert Godfrey was so funny and I just adored how annoying he made his ‘villain’. We got to talk to Eric Goldberg while we were at Disney Studios last week and it was like reliving the magic all over again. He talked about hours of outtakes and getting emotional thinking about Robin Williams. There are a ton of Genie outakes on the Diamond Edition so you can laugh and cry about Robin Williams as well. Aladdin Diamond Edition comes out on Blu-ray Combo Pack – October 13th! It is already out on Disney Movies Anywhere and if you have had a chance to check out DMA, you should read the Take Movies Anywhere post I did on it a couple days ago.
