Learning and Playing with Our Cody the Smart Cub

I received a sample to review by VTech in order to facilitate my review.  As always, all opinions are my own.

With Christmas coming up, I’m sure you’re being bombarded by gift requests from your kids!  Let’s talk about the little ones.  There have been a lot of technologies used to create some great educational toys for littles and bigs, and I’ve found a great one.

I was asked to review Cody the Smart Cub from VTech. and I have to say that my son has never been more excited for me to get mail.  This cuddly little cub is for kids ages 6 to 36 months.  My son loves to hug his new friend. Cody introduces your children to valuable everyday skills like daily routine, first words and emotions.  Cody always knows the exact time, and your child will grow and learn with him everyday through morning greetings, bedtime music, and holiday and birthday wishes. I think Cody knows that I let my kids stay up too late though.  He is judging me sometimes.

Cody responds to touches and hugs.  If you touch his hand, he’ll ask you for a high five, or tickle his toes, and hear him giggle!  You can also listen to Cody’s heart beat by touching the light up heart button,or squeeze his tummy for daily messages.  As your child plays and learns with Cody, he’ll familiarize himself with your child’s daily routine.  He’ll know when dinnertime is, know when to say good morning or good night, and more…  When it’s night night time, Cody will tell your child good night and lull your child to sleep with soothing lullabies.   Cody recognizes birthdays,  and holidays, and will wish your child a happy birthday, and other other personalized wishes.  When Cody wished Elijah happy birthday  he was so surprised! He told the ladies at his school about it and they thought it was the cutest thing.

You can download up to 20 of your child’s favorite stories, up to 30 unique songs and lullabies and other fun messages to continue in the fun!

You as the parent can share in the fun by using VTech’s app store The Learning Lodge, as well as personalizing your child’s cub with your child’s name, favorite stories and more!

  76. I love the Slide & Talk Smart Phone – Pink. My niece is always playing around with my phone. I think it’s about time she has her own ‘phone’ or play phone at least. Haha.
