Ilisha Morrison should have died the day she boarded the bullet train to Colorado. As her train collided with another, a handsome stranger saved her life, but put her in more danger than she ever imagined possible. Caught in a warring world of angels, demons, and a vengeful Death Maker who wants to destroy her, Ilisha discovers her true identity and that not everything is as it seems. Betrayal, heartache and two angels competing for her love forces Ilisha to make the hardest decision of her life.

I have to say that I am a sucker for fallen angels. So I wanted to read this as soon as I saw the blurb for it. Broken Butterfly by Shadow Stephens just looked like something right up my alley. So I signed up for the book tour and I was not disappointed. I felt engaged from the moment I started reading. Ilisha just caught my attention and kept it. I like her no nonsense type of attitude which I assume all nurses get after awhile because all the ones I have known have been like that. She is heading home for her grandmother’s funeral and Bram, her guardian angel, saves her from the train accident. He sets a course in motion at changes his life and Ilisha’s. She is soon caught between two angels who love her and a Death Maker who is trying to kill her.
This is one of the most lovely things I have read in a long time. All the scenes were beautifully described and I found myself not being able to put this book down. I read it in one sitting and could not believe how fast things progressed in the book. I was very confused for a minute about the Damon situation but it was all explained shortly and there I was caught in a love triangle. I adore love triangles. Someone always loses and its always sad but I still think it makes it seem more real to show the pain. Shadow Stephens created a world with engaging characters that makes you want to be a part of it. I recommend this book for anyone who likes to fall into a new world and not come out until the story is done.
