Despite always being on Netflix and constantly having the battle where you flick through everything possible to find something everyone wants to watch I somehow missed All Hail King Julien when it first aired. Apparently the first few episodes had to do with King Julien's ascent to the throne and his duties as king. He finds his one hater, he defeats some evil, and he always comes out mostly on top largely due to luck and Maurice. Now King Julien is BACK with new episodes on Netflix starting TODAY! And being a huge Firefly geek, I was so excited to learn that Timo (King Julien's resident tech guy) is voiced by David Krumholtz. He was ‘Mr. Universe' in the Serenity movie. So if your kids love to rock and there is some singing and dancing involved, then you should tune in to Netflix today to see the new episodes!

All Hail King Julien Synopsis:

Head over to Netflix, sit back, relax and enjoy the show that Robert Lloyd of the Los Angeles Times says “Delivers on all the important accounts… Style, script, timing and performance.” Maybe even pick up a few new dance moves while you enjoy the wild and crazy antics of the King and meet Timo, Madagascar's resident scientist and newest member of the tribe.

A prickly, sarcastic tenrec (similar to a hedgehog) who conducts experiments and builds things out of the various junk that washes up on shore, Timo is also Julien's go-to “tech guy” — though as far as Julien is concerned, Timo is a wizard who uses his “science-magic” to fix anything. Timo is voiced by David Krumholtz ( This is the End and TV’s “The Good Wife”)

In these new episodes, King Julien gets everyone hooked on caffeine, tries to automate life on Madagascar (to disastrous effects), embarrasses Maurice, misrepresents the truth and generally brings chaos wherever he goes — all while managing, unintentionally, to stay one step ahead of an always-imminent uprising. As always, when his silliness puts his colony in danger, his heart rises to the occasion to save the day. It's a riot of color ─ and a laugh riot ─ when viewers All Hail King Julien!
